2012 Red Bull Music Academy Culture Clash Recap

By • Dec 6th, 2012 • Category: Mixes x Features

On December 5th 2012 Red Bull Music Academy invited us to face off against some of LA’s best music collectives in the 2012 Culture Clash. The event went down at Exchange LA and we were up against Dim Mak, Smog, and Jeffree’s to see who could win over the crowd.

The competition was split into 4 rounds: “Introduction”, “I Can do What You Can Do Better”, “Let Us Entertain You”, and “Leave It All On The Table”. In the end it, came down to Smog & Friends of Friends, and while many will tell you we took the prize, Smog was crowned the champions. Congratulations to Smog on the victory, props to Dim Mac and Jeffree’s, and thank you to Red Bull Music Academy for having us. LA Weekly was there to cover the event and you can check out their review over at their site.

We would like to say thanks to Pusha T, Power 106′s Yesi Ortiz, Daedelus, B. Bravo, & Teeko, and I Versus Eye for coming out and supporting. Yesi has her own coverage of the Culture Clash you can check out over at Power 106.
