In the spirit of putting on friends, we’ve decided to introduce a new section on the site, the Friends of Friends Mix Series. We’ve wanted to expand our ability to showcase all the talented people we come in contact with, so we are inviting the homies from all over to get involved and bring the heat and an occasional exclusive. You can expect some ruckus…We’ve also teamed up with the widely awesome Rhythm Incursions out of the UK, who will be syndicating through their podcast. Either sign up for their newsletter, RSS or iTunes feed or just make sure to check this space for unique selections from some of our favorite people + an exclusive original photograph. FoF Presents: Kper – My Friends My Family by FoFMusic

When FoF Music asked for a guest mix it didn’t take me long to think of a theme – a showcase of music from producers and labels around the world whom I am lucky to call friends. I’ve worked with, and met most of, all the producers and labels featured in this mix over the last 8 or so years I’ve been working in and around music in various roles. And I feel lucky to even call some of them close friends as they’ve all been an inspiration to me as a writer but also as a music fan. This short mix therefore showcases the worldwide sounds of people I know but also the music which has made me most excited in recent years from beats to dubstep, hip hop to electronica and other bits in between. It’s a short but intense ride which I hope does not only justice to the music but also the talent of everyone on there. Much love and thanks to all the artists featured for their music and to FoF for giving me the chance to be a part of their family and do this.
