Tomas Palermo is a writer, editor, DJ, producer and coach living in San Francisco, California. He got his start as a reggae columnist for LA’s Urb Magazine in the early-90s and became editor at SF’s XL8R Magazine in 1999 until 2005. He still contributes to XLR8R as well as San Francisco Bay Guardian and other publications. He also maintains the ForwardEver blog is a Managing Editor at WiretapMag.org. In addition to running the Voltage Music label and DJing at SF clubs and on local radio, Palermo coaches high school distance runners and still can bust out a sub-19 min 5K on a good day.
Tyler McCauley is the lead singer and guitarist for Bay Area rock outfit Tempo No Tempo. He’s written for Noise Pop Industries in the past, and can be occasionally heard on the airwaves at KALX-FM or at bars in San Francisco spinning overly obscure soul, disco and post-punk to the unwilling masses. He is currently writing for XLR8R magazine and working on his band’s debut LP, out this September.
