Daedelus Magical Properties 4 Tour

Godfather of the Los Angeles electronic music scene Daedelus embarks on the 4th installment of his Magical Properties Tour, inviting Salva, Two Fresh, Ryan Hemsworth, and Samo Sound Boy on a widespread US tour beginning February 21 in Chicago. Full dates below, along with a new mix from Daedelus showcasing each city involved in the tour.

Salva: A versatile solo producer, crowd riling DJ, owner of the revered Frite Nite label (B. Bravo, Eprom, Ana Sia) and key figure in the Friends of Friends collective, Paul Salva knows how to control a room. Recently named to BBC1's In New DJs We Trust and prepping his 'Odd Furniture' release for February 2013, Salva has big things in store for 2013. After dropping 2012's biggest tracks, a collaborative remix of Kanye West's "Mercy", Salva not only reached #1 on Soundcloud, but received spins on Power 106 FM (LA), Power 105 FM (NYC), and Shade45XM, Salva's work promotes complexity through a synthesis of contrasting styles. Showcasing dips into house motifs, grooves in smooth boogie funk, and massive roiling bass waves, Salva has garnered support from the likes of Pitchfork, FADER, FACT, BBC's Benji B and Skream & Benga, A-Trak, Low End Theory, Snoop Dogg, Diplo, Dâm-Funk, Night Slugs, and many others.

Two Fresh: Combining an array of influences and a diverse musical background, Two Fresh's sound is difficult to describe but impossible to ignore. Built on a foundation of instrumental hip hop, their music seamlessly incorporates elements of sampling, a tight low end and catchy synth lines, with a strong beat always at the cornerstone.

Before twin brothers Kendrick and Sherwyn Nicholls even turned 21, Two Fresh had already landed a label signing with 1320 Records and Elm & Oak Records on the merit of extensive successful touring across the east coast. Within a short few months, their first EP "The Baker's Dozen" was released to a devoted fan base, following with their sophomore release "Airmail".

Two Fresh has amassed serious momentum between extensive touring with artists like Skrillex, Nit Grit, and 12th Planet. Along with performing at a slew of music festivals including SXSW, Dew Tour, Bumbershoot, DEMF, Starscape, Wakarusa, and Camp Bisco, the twins promote their own monthly party called "Watch This!" in their newly adopted hometown of Denver, CO.

Now in their fifth year, the group plans to release copious amounts of new material, helping to define their own sound as they continue to develop it further. Watch out for "Watch This!", the new EP out early 2013.

Ryan Hemsworth: Ryan Hemsworth is a young producer from Canada with a remarkably productive output in the past two years and a totally unique approach to hip hop and R&B production.

With an early background as a singer and guitarist, he quickly weaned off rock into hip hop and more software oriented music, diving whole-heartedly into drum loops and samples. In 2011, his first release No Plans was featured on SPIN magazine's Top 20 R&B albums of 2011 and he quickly followed up with A Way and Kitsch Genius, which got him increasingly noticed for a singular sound attracting a number of music critics and artists from across the country. He soon began cultivating relationships online and became a go-to producer for MCs like Main Attrakionz, Shady Blaze, and Deniro Farrar, helping craft a sound sitting somewhere between chill wave and trap rap. Hyperbolic Chamber Music, a collaborative project with NYC clothing brand Mishka, saw him at the helm of a 22-minute posse cut featuring 26 different rapper from across America, and his remix treatment of Grimes, Frank Ocean, and Danny Brown have kept his name spreading in the past year.

With his first label release, the Last Words EP released through Wedidit Collective, Ryan Hemsworth continues his sonic collages and explorations, digging even deeper into unexplored genres and delivering his finest work to date.

Samo Sound Boy: Making sizable impacts in the production world with releases on Palms Out Sound, Trouble & Bass, and known for his cli- matic, full-throttle DJ sets, Sam Griesemer aka Samo Sound Boy has built an esteemed reputation for himself over the years- -matching incomparable style with a connoisseuring ear for the fresh. In 2011, he combined these two qualities in the creation of BODY HIGH, his very own record label in collaboration with LOL Boys affiliate Jerome Potter. Today, BODY HIGH stands amongst America's most-forward thinking dance labels, shovel- ing out critically acclaimed releases and giving music that doesn't have an umbrella to latch onto a welcoming home. And although he sort of fell into the world of dance music, discovering DJ cul- ture while soul searching in Buenos Aries, Argentina after high school, Samo Sound Boy has contributed more for the scene than he could've ever imagined, implementing integrity back into the genre and bringing club music back to the club.
