New York native Matt Shadetek continues to go flying off the edge of the musical map with his latest outing for Dutty Artz, the label he co-founded with DJ /Rupture. Through the course of a career Matt has specialised in appearing in unexpected places from releasing on respected British experimental institution Warp Records to spawning a dance craze among Brooklyn teens with his underground hit ‘Brooklyn Anthem’ with 77Klash and Jahdan. Lately, Shadetek has been busy with a stream of album-length projects including collaborating with reggae singer Jahdan Blakkamoore on the album Buzzrock Warrior, swimming the depths of a drowned New York on Solar Life Raft his critically acclaimed dj mix album with Rupture and releasing his debut solo album Flowers, all in the past two years.
