The online community's most acclaimed electronic remixer and producer of 2011, has announced a huge debut North American tour beginning September, as well as a new Slinger remix by way of celebration.
The tour, which takes in over 30 cities, coincides with the release of his debut single - the eagerly anticipated track 'Dumbin (feat. Reggie B)' - the first fully released original production from Star Slinger since the Teams vs Star Slinger EP released by Mexican Summer at the start of 2011.
Since that release, the amount of artists he's been asked to mix and work on has been astounding: Deerhunter, Broken Social Scene, Toro Y Moi, The Go Team, Ed Sheeran, Rizzle Kicks, Gold Panda, Foster The People, Alex Winston, Childish Gambino and Small Black have all benefited from his remix and production work.
Most recently Slinger produced the new Air France single, which went big on the likes of Hype Machine. Pitchfork, Stereogum and Fact, adding a brilliant production string to his bow.
Inbetween, Darren Williams has been playing out his huge hip hop and dance orientated sets to festivals across Europe this summer at the likes of The Big Chill, Benicassim and Glastonbury. Alongside that, there has been touring with Washed Out, Memory Tapes and the Go! Team, plus shows with Caribou and Battles amongst many others.
This fall's tour promises to be riotous, sweaty and momentous and a chance to hear music which will comprise his first major long playing release in 2012.
